Upcoming Guest Chef

In our continuing series supporting local notables who are also great cooks looking to find their inner chef, we have more guest chef dinners planned for the first half of 2009.
Our first non-professional guest chef will appear on Sunday, April 19th. Dr. Amalia Silverstein will take over the kitchen for the evening and produce a fabulous dinner from her native Spain. I have heard that her Paella is to die for! For more details and reservations call 840-WINE.

The Metro Celebrates
20 Great Years in Business

December 7th, 2008 marked our 20th Anniversary in business at The Metro. We invited some wonderful chefs who have been instrumental in making The Metro one of Oklahoma's finest restaurants, back to The Metro to collaborate on a fabulous five-course feast to celebrate the occassion. Chef Kurt Fleischfresser of The Coach House, Chef Joseph Royer of Saturn Grill and Chef Chip Sears of Chip Sears Catering all came back to work with our Chef Chad Willis to prepare a once-in-20-years feast. We also had Ray Coursen from Elyse Winery join us with an assortment of his amazing wines paired with the dinner.
When Sunday, December 7th filled up with reservations, we asked our guest chefs and vintner if they could come back Monday night for another "performance", and they all very generously agreed to do a second night. So for two nights we celebrated with many of our wonderful friends and supporters our first twenty years in business. The food was fantastic and the wines made everything even better! Thanks to everyone who helped make these two very memorable evenings!
